Crazy Day

Well yesterday started out seeming like every other but ended after much more excitement than I was ready for. As some of you know I babysit a little boy Gianna's age two days a week. Yesterday was a longer day (1-7) than normal. Gianna has also started to skip her only nap  (yes I use SBB smiles everywhere, don't make fun of me). When we got to Ben's house he was napping so Gianna was out of sorts with out her bestie around. After he woke and ate I got ready to take them both out for a walk and sure enough after everyone is all strapped in and sock on, I open the front door and its raining. Yup that beautiful sky that was there 5 minutes ago was now replaces with gray clouds and rain. And of course my car windows were WIDE open. Great....This isn't the best part of the story by the way :noway: So a little later the cat squeezes her way through the bars of the gate, like normal, to go down the basement. I open the door for her and she doesnt want to go. The cat isn't really fond of the kids so she stays away most of the time, just to come down and pee and then goes back upstairs. Well she decided to be extra friendly and rub around my legs...then she decided my leg was evil and went nuts. Thankfully Ben was behind me and Gianna was on my hip. I screamed and ran and hid with the kids in the dining room, taking the phone with me to call my mom. I told her what happened and she was going to come over to watch the kids while I tried to convince the cat to go downstairs. Then the cat looked like she was going to jump th counter to come nearer to where we were. So I took the kids and phone and ran to the garage, the nearest place with a door to sepearte us. Little did I know the garage door was locked. So I'm stuck in a garage with 2 kids, no keys, no toys, no shoes and a phone. Luckly my mom was home to bring over the extra car seat to take both kids back to my house. Oyh! But they kids were GREAT the whole time :tu: and my leg survived with just a few scratches.

Jennie reminded me!

So I almost completely forgot about my blog. But Jennie saved it and now I am here updating :)
I sit here typing this while my addiction, SBB, is down and doing mindless homework seems too dull.

My semester is 95% done, both psych classes are finished and all I have left to do is a Religion take home final and these last few computer assignments. Summer school starts in a week. Classes are finalized for the fall...I might go nuts, 16 credits=5 classes (2 on campus and 3 online) the same teacher for 3 classes, all Psych. HELP! But its a good thing. I ended up having to change from a previous schedule to this one to help get in some more required major courses so that I can graduate Dec 2010.

Gianna and I have had the house to ourselves this weekend, as my parents went to RI for their anniversary. Its a unique and refreshing change. Oddly I was quite productive, vacuumed, dusted, did food and mothers day shopping, some laundry and even adopted a pet. That's right we got a new pet. Since Hammy died about a month or two ago I felt it was time we got a new animal in the house. His name is Hamilton and he is a Hermit Crab. I love his shell, it painted like a turtle!!! Despite his booklet saying they are social creatures, he is living up to the name hermit and hides the minute I try and hold him. Gianna can't say Hamilton, but calls him Hammy instead LOL!!!

Gianna isn't loving our recent gloomy weather :( She loves to play outside so I'm hoping this upcoming week will be better. She has added a few new words and signs to her vocab. Words: emmy( elmo) and kisses. Signs: thank you and apple (although she means orange)

I must be getting back to that homework so TTFN!!
